• Our SMD to DIP adapters come  with the IC already soldered in place and pretested.

• The ICs used in our adapters come from reputable supply houses such as Mouser and DigiKey.  They cost a bit more than from other places, but there is no danger of factory rejects or "used but good" chips.

• Our OP AMP test and education board is fitted with reverse polarity protection diodes. This is can be especially useful for students and can reduce the chance of damaged circuits.

• The power jack takes the popular 2.1x5.5mm plug.

• Although well filtered, due to the very low voltages audio voltages being measured we recommend the use of a linear bench power supply. Some switch mode "wall warts" are quite noisy and we do not advise using them.

• The supply voltage can range from +/-20 to +/-25VDC (split supply) with the center pin being positive.  The PCB has an on-board rail-splitter for the split supply.

• The current draw (less than 20ma) is low enough for operation from two 9 volt batteries wired in series.  This would ensure a virtually noise free power source.

• Our OP AMP board is complete and pretested but is also available in easy to built kit form.
